A sweet clip of a dog saving another dog from a pool went viral on Twitter. As shared by @RexChapman, a larger dog rescues a small white dog from drowning.

The footage was capture by CCTV. The big dog barks to alert bystanders but then the dog jumps into the pool save her tiny friend.

The post’s caption says, “Security cameras caught something pretty amazing. We don’t deserve dogs.”

The post was shared and liked thousands of times. @nicole9099woof, even knew the breed of the hero, writing: “It’s a Staffie. I have two of them and I can confirm they are the most loyal and protective dogs.”

Jessie, the black dog, spent 34 minutes trying to help her friend, Chucky, get out of the pool. Finally, after many attempts, the footage shows Jessie able to pull the little pomeranian out.

Byron Thanarayen, one of the owners, told Daily Mail, “It was heart-wrenching to watch. We still struggle to watch that video today, just thinking of what could have happened if Jessie was not there.” He and his wife are planning to get a pool cover so this doesn’t happen again.
